How To Freeze Cooked Boba

As boba lovers, we've all gone through countless attempts of salvaging our boba. Most of the time, we'd place it in the fridge in hopes to come back the next day to sweet, chewy, deliciousness. Instead, we're pleasantly surprised by hardened stale tasting balls that crumble in your mouth before you get the chance to spit it all out.

Well, we've discovered a way to salvage your cooked boba! Never again will you make the mistake of misplacing your boba in the fridge hoping and praying it'll taste the same. Written below is a step by step process on how to freeze your boba after cooking it and have it taste exactly like it the first chew:

Step 1: Cook boba - if you don't know how to cook boba, we gotchu! Check out our previous blog on how to cook boba here.

Step 2: Grab an ice-cube tray and a 1 tbsp measuring spoon. Begin scooping boba along with the brown sugar bath/syrup its in and fill each ice cube tray up.

Step 3: Place your boba ice cubes securely in your freezer overnight. (It won't freeze completely due to the high sugar content. Ahh, science!)

Step 4: To revive your boba, pop out about 3 boba ice cubes (this is dependent on how big your ice cube tray is).

Step 5: Place your boba cubes in a microwave safe cup or bowl and microwave the boba for 10 second increments, for 20 - 30 seconds max or until it's to your chewy liking. Make sure to taste test the boba after every 10 second increment.

Follow these steps and you'll be able to have boba as a midnight snack, afternoon snack, or in the morning with your tea or your coffee.
